Martinez luthiers draw a lot of their inspiration from the great classic guitar designs and build from there to make with this inspiration and modern approach a new Martinez classic. The Madrid-C is inspired by the great Madrid school of luthiers and specifically by the Ramirez legacy. Bracing pattern and wood choice and wood thicknesses are drawn from this great Spanish design. The result is a powerful sound with rich harmonics. The low end is deep and full sounding, the midrange is warm and clear, the high notes have power and sound round and full. A very iconical sound.
Added to the classic design are the modern trussrod with its hidden access behind the crossbar and the modern pu finish.
The machine heads have a very nice feature in which the shaft becomes friction free thanks to a bearing located at the end of the roller’s shaft, providing a smooth and accurate tuning with a minimum rotating effort!
